There is also a yard waste drop-off area, a permanent household hazardous waste collection center and a new compost/winter sand pickup area. An appointment is necessary so as to avoid traffic backups on Millbury Street and to allow for the orderly collection of bulk waste materials and proper storage in containers prior to final disposal. The fees have been set to be affordable to the resident and to help subsidize a portion of the city's cost of final disposal.
